The major in graphic design is a sequence of courses that teaches the process of creative problem solving through design. By integrating concept development and artistic practice with technology, students acquire an understanding of the art of visual communication as preparation for professional employment in the field of graphic design or for graduate study. Classes are held in our professional Digital Media Center. The DMC is equipped with 27" flat-panel Apple iMac computers loaded with Adobe Creative Suite design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Dreamweaver.) The DMC has a tabloid-format color laser printer and dedicated flatbed and film scanners. In addition the university Tech Center is fully equipped with Apple iMac computers.
